The NEC is one of Europe's largest exhibition and conference centres. Its central location means that it is easy to reach from all parts of the country, with an excellent road, rail and air network. There is plenty of on-site parking, good quality on-site hotels, cafes and restaurants.

Yes, it costs £12 to park for the day. When you arrive at the NEC, just follow the signs for Primary Care and Public Health and you will be directed to a car park. Shuttle buses run through the day from the car park to the main entrance.

Go directly to Hall 8 – the event will be signposted. If you have registered and received your barcode, go to the ‘Collect Your Badge’ desks; if you have not registered, go to the ‘New Registrations’ desk. We strongly advise you to register for the event in advance.

Yes, adjacent to the Hall 8 entrance and there is also an overflow when this is full. There is a charge of £1 per item. We can also store bags and suitcases. Please note that in accordance with our health and safety policy, bags on wheels will not be permitted in the exhibition hall. This is to avoid trips and aid security.

The conference and exhibition are totally free of charge to attend providing you are a practising health care professional, CCG or NHS Manager, whether working in the NHS or private practice. You will need to bring ID with you on the day to prove this. There is a charge for commercial companies and students.

Conference attendance, attendance certificate and access to speaker slides following the event. It does not include travel, accommodation or refreshments.

Yes, there are two cafes within the exhibition hall serving light lunches, snacks and hot and cold drinks; there are also several other outlets including Subway and Starbucks. Food at the NEC can be expensive and it is busy at lunch time. We would advise bringing with water and you are also welcome to bring with your own food, especially if you have a special diet.

Following the event, you will be sent a short questionnaire to complete. Once this is returned, you will be sent a link to download the certificate. If you do not receive the questionnaire within 2 days of the event, please email laurab@sterlingevents.co.uk

Because we are reliant upon speakers sending these to us and there are so many speakers, this usually takes a few weeks. You will be sent a link to download them when they are ready. Not all speakers provide copies of their presentations.

There are several hotels on-site at the NEC. Hotels get very booked up, so please book quickly. We have negotiated preferential rates – visit

No, this is an event for professionals and is not suitable for anyone under the age of 18, including children and babies. Please make alternative arrangements. There is no on-site crèche.

There is a charge of £85.00 + VAT for students to attend all or part of the event. This applies to full time students studying a healthcare degree. It does not apply to healthcare professionals already qualified and practising but undertaking further study.

There is a prayer room located in Concourse Suite 25 and is open throughout the event.
